A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
Hi Lori,
I’d like to isolate first this concern so I’d know the possible cause of this. Can you confirm if the issue occurs on all existing file or even when you create a new Excel file? If you haven’t tried yet creating a Test Excel file, I’d suggest that you do so. Then, see if you’ll be able to save it as a .prn file and not as a PDF file.
I’ve tried replicating it on my end by creating a Test file. I’ve used Save as and choose Formatted Text (Space Delimited) as its type. As a result, the file was saved as a .prn file. Please see these images:
You may also perform the basic troubleshooting for Office applications if the issue persists. Follow these:
- Install any available Office updates.
- Run a repair. This is usually being performed if an Office app isn’t working accordingly as it should be. See this article:**** Repair an Office application
