How do you type a list of items with dates and then get it in chronological order?

    If each list item is a separate paragraph and the date is the first thing in the item, then you can select the list and sort by date. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the Sort button to open the Sort Text dialog. By default, the Type is set to "Text." Change that to "Date," then click OK.
