Recover "Save" and "Cancel" buttons on SharePoint List

Recently, when new items are being created on SharePoint, in the default form, the "Save" and "Cancel" buttons are removed. The form auto-saves every time a field is filled out; and every time it saves, it creates a separate entry in the list. Furthermore, since we program MS Flows as new items are created, those are also repeated triggered.

Is there a way to put back the "Save" and "Cancel" buttons on the default form for SharePoint List?

    Hi PNgan,

Please try and create a new SharePoint list and see if the same behavior happens.

    We'd also like to confirm:

    1. Whether you are using modern experience or classic experience.
    2. What customization has been done on the list.

We created a new list and can see the Save and Cancelbutton. There is a possibility that you have entered Quick Edit view, so would like to get a screenshot of how it looks on your end.

    Regards,

    Sheen

Please see attached. When I first created the list a week or so ago, the Save and Cancel buttons were there. But today, we noticed that the buttons disappeared.

    Hi PNgan,

Please try creating a new Custom List and see if the buttons are also missing. This will help us understand whether some customization has affected this particular List. If you can see the button on the new List, please let us know what customization have been done on the List.

    Regards,

    Sheen

    Hi,

When we create a new list, the "Save" and "Cancel" buttons are there.

However, we did not customize the original lists. The "Save" and "Cancel" buttons simply disappeared from all the original lists (not just the one in the screen cap)

    Thanks
