Is it possible to change default folder of Onenote? Once I set up a new notebook, it automatically goes to my Onedrive, cant be moved into any particular folder. Looks very messy on Onedrive.

I have done the research online, apparently no answer to this question at all.

Please help.

    Hi Fei Ying (fying),

When we create a new notebook in OneNote for Mac, the only available option is to choose save it to personal OneDrive or OneDrive for business, it is not available to choose which folder to save when creating it. Thanks for your understanding.

(Although we can manually move the notebook later, it is not the best practice as it may cause potential sync issue, we don't recommend doing by this way.)

As a workaround, you can go to the folder in OneDrive where you want to save the new notebook, directly create the notebook in OneNote online, click "+ New", select OneNote notebook.

After that, you can open the notebook in OneNote client by opening it in OneNote online>click Open in OneNote button in the ribbon or go to OneNote client, click File>Open Notebook and browse to the notebook.

    Best Regards,

    Tina
