Why does my excel data disappears after adding footer or header?

I added a footer to a worksheet in my Excel 2016 I was creating and after adding the footer, my data disappeared. The worksheet shows normally with all data in the print preview but I cannot see it to change anything or add any data.

Help!

    Hi Alicia,

    This issue could be just an isolated case and can be resolved by performing the following methods below. The methods are in order to perform the next method just in case the previous method doesn't resolve the issue.

    Method 1:

    Open Office apps in safe mode on a Windows PC

    Method 2:

    Repair an Office application

    In addition, make sure to keep your Office apps updated to isolate any existing issues and improves app features.
