Activate Office 2016 for mac

I have a Mac pro.

I did have office 13 on the lap top and it worked.

When I recently tried to open word, the mac asked me to upload a 32 / 64 bit so word would run ok.

I did this , now word say activate 365

Ive talked to Microsoft help, gave the all the history of the way I got office to work on this machine by giving the all the relevant activation keys . Microsoft confirm all the numbers are genuine, however , they cant resolve, and asked me to post to the community for a resolution

    I suggest you clean the Office app on your Mac and then make a completely clean installation. Follow the articles below.

    Hi Bernie1947,

    What happens when you click Activate and enter your product key?

    Your Office is behind many updates, the current Office 2016 for mac version is 16.15.0 (18070902). First thing, I’ll suggest you update Office, see if this fixes the issue. You can manually update Office apps, click Help > Check for Updates from any of the Office 2016 app to get the latest build.

    If this issue persists, follow the steps from this article under the section “Can't activate Office after installation” .

    If the issue continues, please confirm which Office subscription you have? Is it Office 365 for business or Home or one-time purchase copy.

    Office version on mac is either Office 2016 or 2011 or 2008, there’s no Office 13 for mac. Could you please confirm the correct version of Office you have installed? To get this information, open any Office app such as Word, go to the Word menu and choose About Word.

    In addition, where do you see “Activate 365” message? Please provide the screenshot.

    Thanks for the reply. I also have desktop on this the office is 2013 I just assumed  the Mac was the same.

    Ok attached are the screen shoots the shows the information you have asked for
