SharePoint 2013 workflow retry error

Hi,

Hopefully someone can help wohh this ...

I have a sharepoint site with list workflows set up. One of them errored and continued to retry without success. This has then led to me hitting the limit of 5000 messages in a 24 hour period, but without anything having sent.

I don’t have any workflow management running at present, however the question is ... how do you limit the number of retries a workflow can attempt before stopping and requiring sole manual intervention on sharepoint online via a 2013 workflow developed in sharepoint designer?

Thanks

    Hi Chapster9,

We do not have a method to limit the number of retries a workflow can attempt. A workaround would be to add a pause function in the workflow.

In addition, I would suggest you try to find out why the workflow encountered the error so that we can prevent it happening again.

    Thanks,

    Ran
