Excel Display Bug - Workbook will not 'refresh'

Hi all!

I have recently moved from Windows 7 to 10 on my work machine and I have started experiencing a weird bug I have never seen previously.

Quite often my whole display will 'freeze'. I can make a change in a cell, add or remove a filter do pretty much anything but it will not actually be displayed on my screen until I flick to another tab and come back. It took me about 30 seconds to become annoyed by it and I mention it to my boss. Apparently she has been dealing with it for a little while since moving to 10 but is much more patient than me!

I found something about disabling hardware graphics acceleration, this happens to me with this on or off and my boss had it checked already.

Specs:

Dell Precision 3520

I7-7820HQ

16gb RAM.

Intel HD 630 and NVIDIA Quadro M620

Window 10 Pro - 64bit

Office 365 - Pro Plus

Thanks in advance for any hel.

    Hi DanielBurke7,

Based on the description, this problem seems be caused by system upgrades.

Please try the method bellow to help solve the issue.

    1. Repair Online: Start< Control Panel< Programs and Features. right click Microsoft Office 365 and click on change->Online Repair->Repair; It takes a little longer time, and please keep online.
    2. In order to avoid the effects of third-party software, please try Excel in Safe mode.
    3. If the issue still exists, please update your graphics driver to see the outcome.

It would be better if you tell us the OS version and Excel version for the further assistance.

    Regards,

    Jerry

As of Friday I have not had it happen, but that was just the one day and it was something that was intermittent. The real test will be this week over the course of the whole week!

Thank you for your response and I will reach out if it happens again
