Restart does not work.  Force quit and restart does not work as well.  So unless you have ACTUALLY done it, please do not post erroneous and bogus answers to the question.  Again if you obtain "Looking for Licenses" there is literally NOTHING you can do.  It seems to be an internal issue from Microsoft itself that does NOT seem to reconcile your licenses and account.  It is something MICROSOFT has to resolve and has nothing absolutely to do with you Mac.  Especially in view of the fact that "One Drive" works after input of username and password and "One Note" as well.  Therefore it is NOT your Mac nor is it your installation, It is EVERYTHING to do with Microsoft itself.  Shoddy product that's obviously untested.

Hi LSA876,

Good to know that restarting Office resolved the issue for you. You're welcome to let us know if you have other questions.

Regards,

Sheen

    Hi LSA876,

Do you remember where you saved the templates? Templates are files. Files should not have been deleted unless you deleted the folder/file manually.

    Regards,

The "manual" mentions that Outlook files will be lost and should be saved - it does not mention that Word and Excel templates also are lost :-(
