Syncing Profile Picture

I am trying to change my profile picture across all of Office 365. It has synced in most places; however, Outlook and Skype for Business are still showing the old photo in the thumbnail. Delve is also showing the old photo, but when I click the carmera icon to change it, the new photo is already uploaded.

I believe the source of the problem might be the "My Account" page (https://portal.office.com/account/#personalinfo). On this page, I click "change photo", which opens a pop-up window. I upload a new photo (224kb) in the popup, crop as needed and save. This appears to be successful and tells me that my new photo will be displayed across Office 365 shortly. The new photo is displayed as long as I remain on the page. I can open the other settings tabs and change and save settings. However, the new photo disappears and it reverts to the old one when I navigate away from the page or refresh. Any other settings I change are maintained (e.g., do not revert). I have even deleted the photo altogether and the old one still reappears.

How do I resolve this?

    Hi Máire,

Did you contact the IT admin of your organization to let him/her assign the appropriate licenses to you?

    Thanks,

    Lance

    Hi Máire,

Please assign the Exchange Online license and Skype for Business license first if you want to see the picture on Skype for Business and Outlook.

Please click on the link below and use your Office 365 Business account credential to login on:

    https://outlook.office.com/owa/

Then, please Click the Gear icon on the right side of your name. In the Settings window, click your mail > General > My account. In the My account window, click the pencil icon to select and upload your photo. Click Save to set your user photo.

    Thanks,

    Lance

When I click this link I get the following:

    :-(

    Something went wrong

We couldn't find a mailbox for this recipient. Either they don't have a mailbox or don't have a license assigned.

    Hi Máire,

Please click on the link below to upload your profile picture:

    https://outlook.office365.com/owa/?path=/options/myaccount/action/photo

And wait for a while to verify the result. It may take some time to take effect.

    Thanks,

    Lance
