Cannot open embedded files in Word Document

Hi. I have problem with embedded files in my Word Document. When I tried to click (as in to open) the file, the file does not open. I did not received any error message, but cannot open the file. However, there are certain embedded Excel files that I can open, just embedded .msg files and email files. My colleagues tried to open in their PC and are able to open those embedded files. Can you advise if there is any settings on my PC or MS office that i need to initiate in order to able to open the embedded files?

I would appreciate if you could answer a few questions to narrow down the issue:

• When did you first encounter this issue?
• What is the Office version that you are using?
• Does this issue occurs with .msg files only? Have you tried other file extension like .docx files etc.?
• Does the .msg file created or saved using Outlook app? If yes, which version of Outlook?
• Any changes that took place on your PC before this issue occurred?

Meanwhile, many security programs include "ad-blocking" protection. Go through your security programs currently running and check & disable any anti-virus, web blocking, add-ins etc.
