Issues adding Address Lists role group

From the EAC, permissions, admin roles , I'm trying to add the "Address Lists" Role group.

However, I keep getting this error:

You don't have access to create, change, or remove the "mytenant.onmicrosoft.com\Address Lists-NameOfGroup" management role assignment. You must be assigned a delegating role assignment to the management role or its<br> parent in the hierarchy without a scope restriction.

What exactly do I do about this? I should have full admin permissions. I am also in the "Organisation Management" group. Not sure what steps need to be taken.

Are you adding the role to the Organization Manager role (as on the screenshot). Also, please use IE for that. Can you also add yourself to Discovery management, wait 1 hour and try again?

    Hi,

This is an issue for Exchange Online (EXO). I've added myself to the Organization Manage group, but since that group already included "Exchange Service Administrators" and "Company Administrator" I find it strange since I think I should be a member in at least one of them:

    Hello,

Is this Exchange online, or local Exchange server?

For EXO: you must wait a bit, after adding yourself to the Organization Management group.

For EX: this could be a possible solution: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/ashour/2014/07... (please ignore, that the role is not the same. The idea is identical).

    Regards,

    Manuela
