Error 2902 When Installing Office 2013

Very frustrating.  I am trying to install Office 2013 I purchased last year.  I keep getting this Error 2902 message:

https://rodarby3.tinytake.com/sf/MjU1MjU5Ml83Njc0MTI3

I have run the "Fix Tool" recommended to clean up any prior installations.  I will note that I had this copy was installed and it was installed during a Windows 10 re-set. Its now that I am re-installing, that I get this message.  I this is the third error message I have gotten and I can't seem to solve this issue.  In prior attempts, I was getting a message that a file could not be modified.  I went in to that file and changed the permissions and that message disappeared.  I now get to the point where it is about to finish installing and this Error 2902 message appears.

I will note that as a diagnostic test, I used a friends' MS 365 account and installed Office 2016 just fine.  No issues.  But, I do not want Office 2016....I want my 2013 version. Office 2016 uninstalled just fine.

Note: I have a 64 bit system.

Thanks for any help.

To further update this, I ran the "cleanup tool" again, tried installing Office 2013 after a clean boot, and tried installing it with Windows Defender disabled....all to no avail.  I still get the 2902 error.  I did get further in the installation process than I did before, but it still does 2902.  Now, there are remnants of the installation, in particular Office 2013 shows up in the program menu, but will not start up any of the programs.  Even the clean-up tool I used does not get rid of that.  NEEDING HELP BEFORE I TRASH THIS WHOLE THING AND GO TO A MAC!  Thanks.

    Hi Diane:

Installing it from a file I downloaded.  Click to run (I really don't know what the other type was that you mentioned).  It's an EXE install file that I click to run.  Here is the name of the file I downloaded: en_office_professional_plus_2013_x64_dvd_1123674.  Hope I answered your questions.  -r

Which office suite do you have? Pro plus MSI or Click to Run?

Are you trying to install it from a DVD or from a file on your desktop?
