Hi, we are using a Microsoft add-in for Powerpoint called 'Web Viewer' (you insert a URL, it displays it in the slide).
We used a webpage that uses Socket.IO, and we are seeing it is not able to connect to the server (even the long polling it's falling back on is not working).
Clearly this is not an issue with the add-in: Any ideas what is going on here?
We have found this to consistently fail in Mac 10.13.4 (latest) / Powerpoint (16.12) (latest), and Windows / Powerpoint 2016; we have seen success in other combinations of Windows / Powerpoint (can get those details).

Yes, it is not able to connect to the server.
We know the webpage itself is not the issue, and the add-in is just an iframe, which leaves Powerpoint + the embedded (Webkit) browser.
So the Socket was failing not PowerPoint?
Thank you for the response Neftali. We have also found Socket.io to fail on Windows Powerpoint 2016.
