OneDrive does not update

Hi

My Onedrive does not update. Sometimes on start up the icon does not appear on the taskbar and when I type "Onedrive" on the computer search I het the answer "cannot find onedrive.exe". It like this file disappears overnight.

The only way around this is to go to:

C:>Users>"username">AppData>Local>Microsoft>OneDrive>Update

find OneDriveSetup.exe and execute it again.

This file today had been changed yesterday. Somehow gets updated but does not update the system... you have to do it manually. Boring and annoying.

There must be a better way for your system not to delete OneDrive.exe every time there is an update.

Any suggestions welcome

Thank you

Paulo

The Onedrive.exe that still on your pc is corrupted, the one i shared with you not, so every time that you try to run it ill crash or not open.

If the suggestion 1 does not work for you try the second one.

let me know if need anything else

    Hi,

Thank you for your reply but I am a bit bemused that you gave me a link for a .exe file that I clearly stated I already know where to find it. My OneDrive is synchronising as I explained previously. The problem is that on every update for OneDrive by Microsoft it deletes my OneDrive.exe and stops synchronising after I shut down my computer.

    The problem is the following:

    1. OneDrive is working fine
    2. Microsoft updates OneDrive
    3. Computer still works fine
    4. I shut down the computer
    5. When I restart OneDrive.exe no longer exists, OneDrive is not syncing and OneDriveSetup.exe is showing its latest date on C:>Users>"username">AppData>Local>Microsoft>OneDrive>Update
    6. I have to run manually OneDriveSetup.exe.
    7. OneDrive is working fine

    8 (repeat 2.)

Lets try to completely uninstall OneDrive:

    1. Open Command Prompt in Administrator mode: Right-click on the Windows icon in the taskbar and select Command Prompt (Admin).
    2. Type in taskkill /f /im OneDrive.exe to terminate any OneDrive processes and hit Enter.

    Then type in either %SystemRoot%\System32\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall if you’re using 32-bit Windows 10 or %SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall if you’re using 64-bit Windows 10 and hit Enter.

After that install latest version from the link in the 1st reply

    Hi,

If you cannot see Onedrive Synchronization client on your PC, try to download latest version from this link:
