Spreadsheet Inquire/Spreadsheet Compare is not exporting all cells that change.

The comparison panes highlight the changes, however the pane that shows the cell address does not have the info. When I export results the content matches the pane display.

Big issue, as I am comparing very large files and can no longer trust the results.

Thanks

Hi StoweStowe,

Thanks for the query.

I test 2 simple workbooks on Office version 1810 Build 11001.20074 Monthly Channel and get the below result.

We can see the issue is not reproduced on my side. Could you please check the followings and share with us the information below for further troubleshooting?

  1. Your Windows version and Office version ( File > Account > Product Information). Please share with us a screenshot of the product information to show its version, build, channel and subscription information.

Note: Please mask your email address to protect your privacy.

  1. If you create 2 new workbooks, use the shortcut keys Control + A to select all, copy and paste the content in the problematic workbooks to new workbooks respectively, does the issue occur to these 2 new workbooks?
  2. Does the issue occur to all files comparison? If you perform the comparison on simple files, does the issue occur?
  3. Does the issue occur to other people in your organization?

Regards,

Tina

I used your ctrl a suggestion as a workaround. It solved my immediate problem.

I will post later build info.

No one else in my organization uses this feature.

Spreadsheets I am comparing are about 5 megs with 15 sheets.

Thanks for your help so far.

    Hi StoweStowe,

Glad to know that my workaround "*If you create 2 new workbooks, use the shortcut keys Control + A to select all, copy and paste the content in the problematic workbooks to new workbooks respectively, does the issue occur to these 2 new workbooks?"*is workable for you.

It may be specfic workbooks related problem not related to your Excel application. Let us know if the issue occurs to other workbooks with the office version and Windows version information.

    Regards,

    Tina
