Project Keeps Crashing

Question

Split from this thread.

I'm having the same issue, and it started at the same time.  performed Microsoft update, now project keeps crashing.  this is what i've done

1. un installed and re installed
2. online repairs to project and entire 365
3. un installed 365 and re installed

Please help, my IT group is no help at all for this.

Hi Bwilson,

I would suggest you try start your computer in safe mode to help us narrow down whether the problem is related to the third party software or add-ins:

1. Press Windows logo key + I on your keyboard to open Settings. If that doesn't work, select the Start button in the lower-left corner of your screen, then select Settings .

2. Select Update & security  > Recovery .

3. Under Advanced startup, select Restart now.

4. After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.

5. After your PC restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select 4 or F4 to start your PC in Safe Mode.

Meanwhile, we'd like to collect the crash log in event viewer for the further troubleshooting, please check the steps below:

1. Open Project and reproduce the crash.

Open Event Viewer in your local machine, you can click Start and search for Event Viewer.

3. Expand Windows Logs, click Application. Click Action tab, click Find, type WINPROJ to find the crash log.
4. Copy the log and send it to us via Private Message.
