Multiple Excel Files Open the Same Size

I am using Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus.  I work with multiple Excel workbook files at one time every day.  Each one of them contain data in a varying number of columns or rows and each needs to viewed in different window sizes.  Each file can be resized when the files are opened to accomplish this, I know, but the problem is, *each file needs to be resized every single day,*because Excel opens a file either in the window size of the last saved Excel file (any Excel file) or, opens the file in the window size of a currently open Excel window.  I need each of the files to open in the same size window each of them were last saved in.  This means that each workbook file needs to open in a different sized window.  In previous versions, Excel performed this without us even realizing how desperately we needed this functionality, but now, when an Excel workbook is opened, it opens in the last saved window size of any other Excel file that may have been opened, and when more Excel files are opened, they all open in the same window size as the window size of the excel files that is already opened and last touched.

Each day, the multiple window sizes have to be resized.

Each day, each time a file is opened.  This is a huge efficiency loss.

Is there an overall Excel or other setting that allows a file to open in the last window size it was saved in when other instances of Excel are also opened or is there an otherwise efficient way to achieve a constant window size for each file such that it opens in the same size window it was last closed in?

P.S.  I realize I am resurrecting a 2014 topic for which there did not appear to be a reasonable fix, and many of the discussion points did not appear to be for the same problem.

Hi Eileen Byrd,

Considering your requirement, the arrange feature in this article may be helpful to you:

View two or more worksheets at the same time.

View> Arrange All> Tiled, Horizontal, Vertical, Cascade.

The ways to arrange windows in specific scenarios are listed as below. Hope it can save your time to resize the windows.

The ability to workbook position and size automatically when saving is removed from Excel 2013, also Excel 2016.

Refer to this article: Remembering Workbook Position and Size.

Also, the macros in the article may solve your issue. If you need more help about macros, you can post a question to this category: Office/ Excel/ Microsoft Office programming to ask for details.

I just received notification that an answer was posted.  Thanks Gloria.  The macro-solve may work.  It will take some time to set up the wookbook or folder structure.  Really disappointing that "The ability to workbook position and size automatically when saving is removed from Excel 2013, also Excel 2016."  as one would expect features to be added to newer versions, not taken away.

Would like to know why it was removed.  Was it sloppy upgrade development on MSExcel's upgrade team's part?  Did they just get lazy?  Forget?  Was is sacrificial?  Are there plans to reinstall the feature in future upgrades?  Hope they can do better in the future.
