Excel: White Space above Header in 'page layout view'

Hello all.

I am currently experiencing an issue. I am converting an Excel spreadsheet to PDF format for distribution. The resulting document needs to have our company banner go all the way across the top of the document, from the left edge to the right.

If I convert to PDF from Excel however (either by saving it as PDF or printing to PDF), there is always a small margin surrounding the document (white space) visible.

I have tried adjusting the margins, which are now set to 0 and scaling it to fit to 1 page(s) wide and selecting specific cells as the print area, and can't seem to find the right solution online.

Product info: Microsoft Excel for Office 365 MSO 32-bit

It would be much appreciated if anyone would be able to provide any assistance. Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

Fah

    Hi Fah,

    Thanks for your explanation.

To achieve your requirement, I would suggest you save Company Banner as a picture and then insert it into customer header via File tab >Print >Page Setup >Header/Footer >Custom Header... >Insert Picture in Left sections.

The outcome is as shown in the following figure for your reference.

    Regards,

    Eli

    Hi Fah,

You mentioned that "there is always a small margin surrounding the document (white space) visible". Does it mean the blue area as shown in following figure (13.pdf)?(Note: I have set print format: Fit to 1 page and 0" left and right Custom Margins.)

If yes, it actually depends on the length of the cells in workbook. For example, if we set the cell format into Align Right, we will get the picture below:

The white space is the green area on the left. To alleviate this situation, we could populate the cells with proper length words and text format (like Center and Middle Align).

For any misunderstanding, please post back and point it out.

    Regards,

    Eli

    Hi Eli,

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter, I hope this message finds you well.

Unfortunately, there might be a bit of misunderstanding, my apologies for the lack of information provided.

(Note: For explanation purposes, I am using a word document in this illustration)

I am trying to get rid of the white space surrounding the company banner. (Note: I have set print format: Fit to 1 page and 0" top/down/left/right Custom Margins. I have also tried displaying it as an image header or just an ordinary image).

The Desired Outcome would be to remove the white space entirely when the spreadsheet is converted to PDF

Once again, thank you, I appreciate your help.

    Kind regards,

    Fah
