Office 2013 - Excel Copy & Paste Function Not Working

Anonymous
2018-12-15T13:40:39+00:00

Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013

Windows 10 Pro

No Active Excel Add-Ins

The described behaviors occur in both normal mode and safe mode.

In Excel when I use CTRL+C or the Copy button in the ribbon the cell is temporarily highlighted for less than a second with a dashed line border and then it immediately disappears.

In Excel when I use CTRL+C or the Copy button in the ribbon the a "popup preview clipboardfusion 5.4.1" box temporarily appears in lower right hand corner and then disappears.

After initiating a copy command (If CTRL+C or the Copy button in the ribbon) if I move to a single new cell and hit the Enter key, then nothing happens.

After initiating a copy command (If CTRL+C or the Copy button in the ribbon) if I move to a single new cell and use CTRL+V or the Paste button in the ribbon, then the contents from the original cell are pasted in the new cell.

After initiating a copy command (If CTRL+C or the Copy button in the ribbon) if I highlight multiple new cells and use CTRL+V or the Paste button in the ribbon, then a pop up warning message appears stating:  "The data you're pasting isn't the same size as your selection.  Do you want to paste anyway?"  If I select OK, then the contents from the original cell are only pasted in the top left cell in the range of cells that are highlighted.

I've tried uninstalling Office and reinstalling Office but the same problems with Excel copy and paste not working occur.

I've tried opening Excel in Safe Mode but the same problems with Excel copy and paste not working occur.

Without copy and paste functionality excel is not very useful.  Thanks in advance for your help with fixing these issues.

Uninstalling this 3rd party utility clip board fixed my problem.

I don't know how it was ever installed on this lap top.

I never recognized it popping up until I started documenting everything for this post.  I uninstalled it immediately after I made the post and it fixed the issue.

"clipboardfusion 5.4.1" is a third party utility that you have installed, it is not part of Office/Excel, uninstall it
