Server 2022 Standard Licensing

Hello

I have a host server with Server 2022 Standard installed with about 10-15 VMs that are running Server 2016 and Server 2022 as the guest OS. Each of these VMs are using the corporate KMS licensing server for activation and licensing. Is this permitted given that the documentation indicates that only 2 VMs can be licensed on Server 2022 Standard?

Thanks

    Hello!

According to Microsoft's licensing terms, each license of Windows Server 2022 Standard allows for up to two OSEs or VMs to be run on the licensed server. If you have more than two VMs running on the host server, you will need to purchase additional licenses to cover those VMs.
