I use a split database function to enable multiple people to work on a shared database and wondered if it is possible once the work has been completed to put the database back together?

Sure, Just delete the Linked tables and import them back into the front end. You can delete them before or after import, but if you don't do it before, then it will add a 1 to each table name during the import so you will have to rename them. I would do this with a backup of the database.
