Hello Clark,
Thank you for the prompt reply and suggestions. This was my first notebook, so when I closed the notebook, I received a warning that the unsynced sections of the notebook would be moved to a "misplaced" read-only notebook. I did that, and the notebook itself disappeared from my list of notebooks.
I then tried re-creating the notebook, but OneNote complained that a "folder" with that name already existed (even though the notebook itself was no longer in the list). So at that point, I created a notebook with a slightly different name, ands then copied the misplaced sections from the original notebook into it. That worked, and this new notebook is syncing again.
Once that synced, I closed the notebook, went into onenote.com, renamed the new notebook to give it the original name I wanted, then re-opened it in the Mac application, and at this point, all is well again.
Thank you very much for your assistance. It was a little more of a bizarre journey than simply closing and re-opening the notebook, but the original tip to try and re-open it was what pointed me in the right direction.
Thanks again,
-Seb
