Where is the Select Object Cursor tool in Excel 2010?

Hi

I do a fair amount of my simple graphics in XL. BUT.... I seem to be missing the Select Object Cursor tool that allows you to click and drag to select multiple objects; it used to be in the 2007 version but not in the vs 14.7.7 version of Excel included in MS Office for Mac 2011 ... which means each individual object has to be selected, then grouped .. a major faff! So where is it?  I have read posts that claim the command is included and can be re-instated to the toolbar, but there is no instance of the command in the Keystroke drop-down list in my version.

I think you may have been mislead. I don't think Select Objects tool exists in Excel 2011.

The Select Objects tool exists in Excel 2019, but it does not work. I added it to one of my Ribbon tabs (it's on the right end of the ribbon shown below)

Thanks Jim, so are saying even in 2019 it still isnt working? Beggars belief that MS hasn’t tuned into users’s feedback after 12 years???

Yes. But we now have a nice button that we can click that does nothing.
