So I just got a new computer and am trying to install my Office 365. (I already removed it from my old PC). But for some reason, I now have two different versions showing up in my Start Menu. (ie: 2 Accesses, 2 Words, 2 Excels, etc.) And one of them will not open. How do I remove this? I am pretty sure the version thats broken is what my PC came loaded with.

Yes. I tried both the Control Panel and Settings. I did not find a program called Microsoft Office Desktop Apps.

And I do not know if it was removed already. When I click the icon on my start menu, nothing happens. If I right click --> more, I have the option to choose "pin to taskbar, run as admin, app settings, rate and review, and share".

Thanks for the quick response everyone.

DaveM121 - I have tried using that same tool. But the program still exists.

SarahKong - I only see "Microsoft Office 365 en us". This is the Office that works correctly. I want to keep it.

DianePoremsky - I also only see "Microsoft Office 365 en us". This is the Office that works correctly. There was no program called " Microsoft Office Desktop Apps"

The Easy fix tool will not remove the OEM preinstalled versions of Office. You need to go to Settings, Apps and Features and find the Microsoft Office Desktop Apps and uninstall. (I would definitely use the office.com click to run version as the windows store version is not really ready for prime time yet.)

Go to search and type control panel.

Top right switch to category view if you are not on it already.

Go to Programs - Uninstall a Program.

Look for Microsoft Office and uninstall it.

You should see 2. One will be Microsoft Office and the other Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus or something like that.

You want to keep the Office 365 one.

Let me know if that works for you.
