SPLIT FORM COLUMN ORDER

I have 4 columns in my access split form e.g. columns A, B, C, D. I like to keep them in the same order, but on opening the form the order of the columns is changed to e.g. B, D ,A, C. I could not find any reason for this nor system. In viewmode the order of the columns can be rearranged. With the right mouse button the order can be fixed. But everytime I open the form I run into the same problem. How can I fix the order?

Strange seemed to work for me, what year is your Access?

You could rearrange the columns in the table that is linked to the form, but that may cause problems elsewhere.

It seems to work if  you save after you made the layout change, I don't think it saves the layout if you just close it down.

I just rearranged the columns and saved (Ctrl + S) then closed and opened the form and it was was in the right layout.

    Hello Deadshunt,

I tried your suggestion with Ctrl + S.

    Unfortunately this did not help.

I think this has the same effect as the Save function of the quick menu on top of the screen which I used. So there must be another reason why the columnsorder is scrambled during opening the form. I have no reason what that could be. The form is useless if the columns are not in the right order. Any suggestion is welcome.

Are you talking about the tab order? or the layout in Datasheet view?

I do not think it has anything to do with the tab order.

I am having  difficulty in my split form to fix the order of the columns in a specific way . Everytime I arrange these columns in a certain way, they are mixed up again after I reopen the form (in view mode). I think you can only change the order in view mode. That is what I did. After that I saved the form befor closing it. Whatever I tried so far no luck.
