Cannot delete calendar event

Question

I created new calendar and added new event, however, when I went back to change the event details I wasn't allowed to do it (I can change the date but I cannot delete it). I am the SCA for my own site, do I need additional permission?

I’d like to confirm whether the issue happens in a specific calendar list in the site. If you do a test in another site, what’s the result? I also suggest you do a test in a fresh browser to check the result.

Meanwhile, as the original issue is that you can’t delete the list item, I’d like to confirm whether you can delete the affected item and create a new one.

It turned out I can upload and edit documents and photos but I cannot delete them. The only thing I can think of is something went wrong with the permission. I went back to MySite to check on my permission again to confirm I'm the SCA.

I can keep on adding things to the site and just not link them but I do want to learn what went wrong.

I created a calendar list in SharePoint, added the event and realized I need to modify the date. I modified the start date and recurrence and clicked 'save', but nothing happened. I started clicking around and the only button that worked was 'cancel'.
