Hello,

I read several articles on websites. Keep Text Only in Paste option should remove own formatting. but in this example keep own format.

And Why in Merge Formatting doesn't similar surround text?

***Merge Formatting:***This option changes the formatting so that it matches the text that surrounds it.

But the Pasted text does not similar surrounds text and have the different format.

If you keep source formatting it stays the same as where it was copied from.

If you merge formatting it combines the source formatting with the destination format

And if you choose text only it takes on the destination format

    Thank you for your reply,

Could you give me more explanation about these?

If you merge formatting it combines the source formatting with the destination format

    With which algorithm?

And if you choose text only it takes on the destination format

That means does not remove original format?

"Keep Text Only" is the same as pasting as "Unformatted Text" (the latter option can be found in the Paste Special dialog box) which means that the pasted text assumes the formatting at the insertion point. No formatting is brought into the document by the pasted text.

"Keep Source Formatting" adds the text using the formatting that was defined by the source. This will be more predictable if you copy and paste between Word documents.
