Cannot Authenticate Office 365

Hi there,

I am having trouble authenticating Office 365 on a new computer. I have tried several time using my company login and it says that it is Unable to authenticate. I have talked to my employee help desk and other sources and no one seems to know how to fix this issue. I am an authorized user and have all the proper clearance. Please help, I need to use these applications in my day to day and right now I cannot use any of the normal functions of Word or Excel.

Hi Lyndsay,

Are you able to "authenticate your Office suite" now? If not, please share with us the following info for better understanding the situation:

  1. By "authenticating Office 365 on a new computer", do you mean activate the Office 365 Office suite or just sign into it?
  2. Please capture a screenshot for "it says that it is unable to authenticate".
  3. Open one of the Office apps>click File>Account>capture a screenshot for all info under Product Information. Please mask your account info if it is in the screenshot.

Meanwhile, as you mentioned company login, I assume you are using Office 365 for Business plan with that account, you may use the SARA tool to help you troubleshoot activation issue with Office suite from Office 365 for Business plan.

    Hi, I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulties.

    Did you try various browsers? Chrome, Firefox, Edge and IE?
    Did you try another Windows profile?
