Edit Default Layout

I would like to make setting changes for my pivot tables which requires access to edit default layout.  But its grayed out.  How to I access this field?

Thank you for your response.  But I resolved my problem with a simple fix that often goes unnoticed.  All I did was update my excel application.  This procedure often goes overlooked because you don't think of doing this.  You may want to add this to the list of fixes for this type problem.

But anyway, thank you for you help.

    It is possible that you're trying to edit a protected sheet.
