Microsoft Query from ODBC database

I am fairly new at using Microsoft query to build reports for my company but I have to build all of them from copy and pasting a query table from a report that was built for us by a consultant then editing the query from there. I would like to just do the typical get data from Microsoft query then select my database but this error shows up every time. I know the database does exist because it is the same one that I edit for all my other reports queries from but it wont let me start a new one.

Does anyone have an idea of what might be going on with this?

    Hi Jon,

As the issue happens when you get data from Microsoft query and select your ODBC database, I suggest you post a new thread on our TechNet forum - Excel IT Pro Discussions for expert help.

Here is a similar post from that forum for your reference: ODBC Connection failed - error message

    Thanks,

    Cliff

Here is a screen shot from a query that I can go in and edit in the query wizard.
