Office 365 Advance Threat Management Changing JPEG Photos To A Text Format

We have been on Office 365 for about one year and Advanced Threat Management for one month. A new issued occurred this morning where a user using his IPhone click on a photo and tried to email a picture to his email address thru the Office 365. We are receiving "Undeliverable' emails stating the follow message: Detections found: ATT00001.txt - Malicious Payload. We have never received this message before until today and we have not changed any of our settings. Has anyone received this error before and is there a fix. Thanks

    Hi Jim,

Thanks for your post. As you use the Advanced Threat Management, your organization might be protected by theOffice 365 Advanced Threat Protection (ATP). As the Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection helps to protect your organization from malicious attacks by the related safety policies, such as safe attachments policies, the picture attached in the email sent by this user in your organization might be classified as the incredible attachment. In this case, you can try to check and change the related Office 365 ATP safe attachments policies options.

If it’s not your scenario or it doesn’t work, to help you better, we need to collect some information:

    1. Was this picture sent by the email as an attachment?
    2. Does this issue occur to other users in your organization?
    3. Does this issue occur to other emails attached with pictures?
    4. Is this user able to send other emails successfully?
    5. As you receive the  “Undeliverable” emails, we need to collect the entire NDR (Non-Delivery-Report) of them. To protect your privacy, please provide us one sample of the NDRs by private message.

    Regards,

    Jay
