Changing bitmap resolution with PowerPoint 2019

I've recently changed laptop, and upgraded my MS Office from 2010 to 2019.

On my old setup, I had successfully followed the advice in https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/827745/how-to-change-the-export-resolution-of-a-powerpoint-slide for how to increase the resolution of images saved via the SaveAs option.

These instructions involve a registry subkey in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\vv.0\PowerPoint\Options, where the "vv" is the Office version number.

The same instructions seem not to work for Office 2019:

(1) I can start and run regedit fine

(2) I look for subkeys inside HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\

(3) I can see subfolders for 14.0, 15.0, and 16.0, but no 19.0

(4) In none of these cases is there a PowerPoint subfolder

(5) There is a PowerPoint subfolder at a higher level, that is, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\PowerPoint

(6) ... however, in that case, there is no Options subfolder there.

Am I looking in the wrong place? Or has the mechanism changed for the PowerPoint in Office 2019?

Thanks in advance for any pointers!

John - Thanks for confirming that I should be looking in the 16.0 section of the registry.

However, there's almost no structure there. For example, there's no sign of \PowerPoint\Options there.

Perhaps also significant: when I search the entire registry for part of the filename of some files I recently opened in PowerPoint, there are no hits.

(Except in parts of the registry connected to a different app, Photos, which make sense since I have also viewed files with similar names in that app.)

That's in contrast to the case on my previous laptop, when the names of files recently opened in PowerPoint are stored in the registry.

All in all, I'm still wondering whether a different storage mechanism is being used, by PowerPoint, in this most recent version. That would explain why I'm seeing so little in the registry.

Both Office 2016 and 2019 use the 16.0 section of the registry.
