Corrupt Default Workbook File

I'm having a number of simultaneous issues with Excel 2013/Windows 7.

The default workbook has only one worksheet instead of three and fill cells only vertically or horizontally -- that is, it will not highlight an array by dragging the cell diagonally. Trying to move a cell with contents results in the cell randomly settling somewhere.

There are no files in XLSTART, or in my server drafts locations and Explorer searches do not find Book.xltx

Malwarebytes and AVG detect nothing.

I've uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled MS Office twice and get the same results.

I've been looking for a pristine Book.xltx via Google, but can find nothing.

Any ideas?

Locate/delete the default template, it will be recreated when you repair/start Excel

You have to enable hidden in any search.

    Thank you for the reply.

I have selected "Show hidden files, folders and drives" under Folder Options and made searches of the entire C:/ drive on variations of Book.xtlx and Sheet.xtlx with no result.

Does Excel 2013 use a different default file?
