OneDrive sync question

Hi

I have a scenario a user put before me.

A user is about to enter a no wifi area (like a plane). He has his laptop as hand luggage but turned off. He has his phone on with outlook and onedrive apps installed, He gets an email with an attachment. He's about to board a plane but wants to read the documents on his laptop whilst travelling. So he uploads the email and attachment to one drive on his phone. Is it possible for him to then work on this file from his laptop? So somehow make it available from his laptop whilst in offline mode (as he's on the plane).

Hope this scenario make sence.

Please let me know?

Thanks

Tita

Hi Tita,

Thanks for posting the query in our forum.

From the article: OneDrive on your PC in the part " No Internet? No problem." said "the files you save to OneDrive are available online at OneDrive.com and offline on your PC. That means you can use them anytime, even when you're not connected to the Internet. When you reconnect, OneDrive updates the online versions with changes you made offline." That means you can edit the files when the files have saved in the computer already without internet. Once you have connected the internet, the files will sync to update what you have edited.

And, if you are always in no Wi-Fi area, the file can't sync from you phone to your computer so that you can't edit the files on your computer.

I hope the information above may help you, and let us know if you need further help on this problem.

Thanks,

Clark
