Powerpoint Presenter view - notes not syncing - Mac

I am on Powerpoint 16.30 (19101301) on Mac. Since the latest update installed, I am having issues with presenter view. The notes for the first slide appear but do not update as I move from slide to slide. The slides move but the only way I can see the connected notes is to click on the notes pane, which is obviously not ideal as it means I am tied to the laptop and can't just use the clicker.

It doesn't matter whether I use the clicker or click on the arrow to progress to the next slide.

It can also be variable. The notes may never update or they may update 5 slides in and update for 2 slides in a row, then not for another 10 slides.

I have tried it with a new presentation, I have reinstalled powerpoint on the advice of Information Services at work. In hindsight, this may have been a mistake as I can now not roll back from the update.

Another solution:

Change the Update channel to "Insider Fast" and update to 16.31 of powerpoint.

Help->Check for Updates->Advanced->Update Channel - set to Insider Fast and then check for updates and it will update to 16.31. It seems to have solved the problem.

So I figure our what to do with the help of a microsoft specialist and it worked.

you have to remove the 16.30 version. Then download powerpoint again from the September version. 16.29

Thank you Vivek K. That is most helpful.

I can access my account on Office 365 Business and I know how to download the current version. How do I ask for 16.29 please?

    Thanks in anticipation,

    Bob

This is happening to me on my iMac which is on MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 and PowerPoint is 16.30.

Fortunately my MacBook Air is on PowerPoint 16.29.1 and I have turned off auto updates.

In a week I am talking to 1,400 people. I really don't need this!!!!!!!
