Hello,
I am working on an Excel 2010 spreadsheet and inserting hyperlinks to documents (Word/pdf) contained in the same folder on my PC. I want to ensure that I enter the hyperlinks correctly such that if I transfer the folder to another computer (via e-mail, flashdrive, cloud), the hyperlinks will remain functional. How can I ensure that hyperlinks to the documents will stay intact? I cannot control the drive numbers assignments when the files are copies to other computers, so is there some way I can manage this?
Thank you very much in advance for any assistance you might be able to provide.

Re-stating this question to clarify what I am looking for help with. I am working on an Excel 2010 spreadsheet and inserting hyperlinks to documents (Word/pdf) contained in the same folder on my PC. If I try to transfer that folder to another PC, the hyperlinks do not work. I want to ensure that I enter the hyperlinks correctly such that if I transfer the folder to another computer (via e-mail, flashdrive, cloud), the hyperlinks will remain functional. How can I ensure that hyperlinks to the documents will stay intact? I assume there is some way to do this, and that I am not establishing the hyperlinks correctly.
Thank you very much in advance for any assistance you might be able to provide.
So, not an Excel expert here by any means...Is there a way to create hyperlinks between and Excel spreadsheet and Word docs/pdf files, which are all on the same folder on a PC, and then transfer them (by flashdrive, e-mail, cloud) to a different PC while maintaining their functionality? I am creating this document with quite a large number of hyperlinks and don't want that to be a wasted effort where they will just function on my PC.
Its never good/reccommended to edit any doc contained on a flash drive.
Any doc should be saved to the local PC for any editing, and only copied to the flash, in order to then copy that to the local PC
And you cannot use hyperlinks that relate to another doc as any such link will include the current path. Just as you cannot hard code a path in any VBA option
