How to download learning path sample files

Question

Hello,

I'm beginning the Learning Path for the DA-100 exam / Data Analyst Associate certificate.

The modules have example files to import, etc. that make it seem like I should be able to do download for my own practice, but I can't figure out where to find them.

Am I misunderstanding what is available? Is there a repository of sample files available somewhere based on specific learning paths?

Any direction or guidance on the topic would be much appreciated.

The online learning path includes links to a no-cost-to-you hosted VM, which has the files needed for the online course. The first course ("Get Started...") does not have any labs, so it is not immediately obvious that you will have access to data files later.

To see this, start at the Certification page for DA-100. As you scroll down, there are two paths to prepare - online and instructor led. Select online, and then scroll down to find the courses. If you click on a course (e.g., Prepare for Data Analysis) you can then view the modules.

Expand a module (e.g., Get data in Power BI). Note that one of the lessons is "Lab - Prepare data in Power BI Desktop". When you open that lesson, the top of the page includes a link that opens a VM. The VM has all of the sample files necessary to complete the online training.

vm lab have very poor quality and its very slow, I think it's a bad practice force users to use bad service, what I do it's enter to VM install winrar, compress all files, upload them to free file storage service and then download to my machine ... and now I can use it ...
