Microsoft office 206

Question

hi i've recently purchased microsoft office 2016 for my mac and downloaded it, this worked fine, but i can't actually activate word, excel etc as when I try it says there is no licence. i previously had a trial of office 365, would that interfere with activation? struggling with this, does anyone have any ideas please?

Hi many thanks for your response, i had a trial office 365 which i needed to delete before i could run 2016.

im not used to a mac so just took me some time to understand what to do.

Have you redeemed your Office 2016 for Mac product with your own Microsoft account?

Per my opinion on this issue, you might download the different version of Office for Mac which might be the root cause of this issue.

For Office 2016 for Mac user, the current latest version is 16.16.8(190312).

And for Office 365 subscriber or 2019 user, their latest version is 16.23(190309).

Please share us a screenshot of your current Office for Mac version, so we will have a clear view on this.

hi thank you for that, but i have reset my password and re installed twice but still nothing.

If the issue persists try this.

Reinstall Office 2016 for Mac and activate it again.
