Open Word Documents in draft view

Question

How do I enable opening documents in draft view in Word in Office 365 in Win 10? I've ticked the box but it doesnt work.

Hi Francis - many thanks for response - but I have done all that - in earlier Windows that worked fine, but now that I'm in Win 10, then even when I have ticked the instruction, and selected View Draft, all documents still open in page view. Rgds, Ken.

To have all documents open in the same view, you'll need a macro; see the thread for which MVP Suzanne S. Barnhill has already provided a link.

If you want to restore the old behavior to save the view and zoom with individual documents, you'll need an add-in. See the SaveView2013.zip file (or its extended version SaveViewLocMulti.zip) on MVP Jay Freedman's site https://jay-freedman.info/.

That setting has no effect in recent versions of Word. You need a macro to open in Draft view. See

Thanks again - I went to those instructions and selected Office but the only options were Move or Uninstall - no mention of Modify.
