Cannot send SMTP mail from AR application through Office 365

Cannot send SMTP mail from accounts receivable application called WinAR.  These are the errors I see in the applications log files:

550 5.7.64 TenantAttribution; Relay Access Denied

503 5.5.2 Sender already specified

I have tried both company.mail.protection.outlook.com:25 and outlook.office365.com:25 for the email settings.  It used to work fine with POP.

I have also added the external IP address to the connection filtering as allowed and added that address to the SPF.  I am at a loss for where else to look.

Here is a log file (with domain info blocked):

Emailing C:\WINAR\EMAIL\000000010013-User <******@domain.com> 07-02-2019 17:00:09

As I stated there are many other documents like that available via an Internet search.

    Good luck!

I did read that but it does not apply as we are pure Office 365... not hybrid config.

This is one thing I found by doing an internet search:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/troubleshoot/connectors/relay-access-denied-smtp

There are other docs out there.

I did try a send connector but did not have any luck with it.  Not sure of the exact settings to use.

In the Exchange Admin Center have you setup a Connector for this application?
