OneNote Application Size

I use OneNote both on my Surface Pro 6 and my desktop computer. I noticed today that my desktop computer was complaining that my hard drive was running out of disk space and I was shocked! I try to keep only my operating system on my C drive, but it was nearly full. It turns out OneNote was taking up a surprising amount of space - 150GB! On my Surface, it only uses 15GB. Why could this be? I have only one Notebook/account on my OneNote, but one application was 10 times larger. I reset OneNote and it's back to a reasonable size.

You have the Windows app version on both? The size should be similar one both, although it probably won't be exactly the same size due to caching.

It sounds like there was either a large cache or some corruption in the file.

Yes, I have the Windows app version offered by the Microsoft store on both of my computers. I was suspecting something strange happened (i.e. a file corruption) which would cause the unusual allotment of memory on my solid state. It's kind of cool that it kicked in Storage Sense, but not very cool in how ineffective Storage Sense was at cleaning up this problem. Of course, if the memory was allocated to the OneNote application, then it might not recognize the corruption or cached files as something to clean.

Side Note: I like your little disclaimer at the bottom

    **I do work for Microsoft**

(But my sales experience doesn't aid me very much in this situation haha)
