Cannot activate Office on Mac

Hi Dear 

I bought Microsoft over 8 or 9 years ago  , I have been using it since. last time i used was this weekend 10/06/19.

Today I had to update my Mac per Apple new software that was pushed, after the updates , my Microsoft word is not recognizing my iMac and asking me to reactivate.

when i reactivate it asking me to pay.

can you please help and solve this issue.

I got laid off from my job and I took a class that will start October 21,19 I need my Microsoft for this class.

Dear Sami,

Thanks for letting us know you have Office 2011 for Mac and had issue with Office 2011 for Mac on Mac Catalina.

I recommend you refer to Jim's suggestion in this similar threads:

    Hi Sami,

    Sorry, remotely support is not available to forum. Appreciate your understanding.

    To remove the original Office license, you can download this link to get the license removal tool, open the .pkg file from your Mac's Downloads folder, then click Continue and follow the prompts to install the tool.

    After the tool removes the license, launch Word application, it will prompt you to sign in your Office account to activate Office.

    And could you share the requested information as I mentioned in the initial reply? They will let us have a better understanding of the scenario on your side and help you do troubleshooting.Thanks for your effort.

    The license removal tool I suggested is less then 50KB and it is an application and doesn't need to use drive to install it, you may directly click the link I provided to download and install it, then try using it to remove Office license.

    In the meantime, could you also provide the requested information I mentioned in the initial reply? They would be very helpful for us.

    Hi Sami,

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused by this issue.

    I suggest you try following and see if you can reactivate your Office:

    1.Use License Removal Tool to removal the original Office license. You can get it from this article.

    2.Reboot your Mac, launch Word, sign in your account to activate Office again.

    If you still cannot activate Office, please share with us information below to troubleshoot the issue. Appreciate your time and effort.

    1.Seems the issue happens after you update MacOS, what is the current version of your Mac? Catalina 10.15?

    2.If you get any error messages, please also share screenshots of them.

    And please also share screenshot about "when i reactivate it asking me to pay."
