Developer features on Mac

Hello,

I've been tasked with creating a fillable form in Word.

From the research I've done online, it looks as if the tools I need are kept within the 'Controls' panel

found within the 'Developer' tab on the top ribbon. Are there any versions of Word for Mac, that

include the 'Controls' panel? Or would it be best to see if I can use a PC to work on the form?

The screenshot below shows the panels that are available for me to use within the 'Developer' tab.

Thanks a lot!

If you have been reading about Content Controls, then it's best to use a Windows computer to create the form. It's possible to insert Content Controls using VBA on  a Mac, but they aren't as editable after insertion as the same controls in Windows.

Using the legacy form controls in Word for Mac that are visible in your screen shot, it's possible to create most types of fillable forms. Their advantage is that the forms will work on any version of Word. Content Controls will not work on Word 2008 or 2011 for Mac. Here is Microsoft's help page on this subject: Create forms that users complete or print in Word for Mac

Thanks a lot John, I'll have a look the the help page and see what can be done from that, otherwise work on a Windows machine.

    Thank you!
