Good Morning,

I am having an issue with Project where my task header default to the project start date and the overall percentage for that task section doesn't calculate. this has only happened recently to one project schedule. When I send this to other people it works correctly so I assume there is a setting on my software. I would love some assistance if anyone has experienced this issue.

Hi Cassowary2203,

Thank you for query in our forum. I am very sympathetic to your experience. I do understand the inconvenience it has made and apologize for it.

As per your description*,**“* project start date and the overall percentage for that task section doesn't calculate .

In Microsoft Project, when you make changes to a subtask, those changes may not be reflected in the summary task for that subtask.

This problem may occur if the Calculation options for Microsoft Project setting is Manual.

If your summary tasks duration is not being updated, this may come from the project's calculation mode: perhaps it is set to manual.

Go to Tools > Options > Calculation tab and select Automatic.

Meanwhile, here is article about Percent (%) Complete fields for your reference.

If it is not your scenario, could you please explain with detail description of your scenario for better understanding your situation and suggest the better solution that satisfy your scenario.

We greatly appreciate your understanding.

Best Regards,

Waqas Muhammad

    Cassowary2203,

What exactly are you referring to when you say, "my task header"? Do you mean the Project Summary Task, or something else.

    John
