When I copy and paste texts of a column from one word document to another, the column disappears and only the text is available. How can I fix this?

Newspaper-style columns are a section property. To copy that layout, it is necessary to copy/paste the section break following the column.

    Dear Nimal,

Thanks for participating in the Microsoft Community. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'll help you.

Could you try to paste with the special paste feature "Keep Source Formatting", click with the "Right-click" over the new Word document, in the Paste Options, select the "Keep Source Formatting (K)" option.
