MS Access add-in error

The procedure I followed is:

bring up MS Access under MS Office 365.

key in on: File -> Access Options -> Add-ins

Highlight Total Access Analyzer

and get the following error

my system " is unable to get the application's icon to the file

 'C\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\Common\GRAPHICS\ICONS\Writing\BOOKS04.ICO"

My concern is that no matter which add-in I highlight I get the same error.  Anyone else have this problem?  I am leaning towards a data mismatch of a 32 bit/64 bit installation error in Access.

Hello Liliana,   I have done all the suggestions in paragraph 1.  In addition, I have removed Office and reinstalled a new suite.  I have restarted my PC between each step to clear buffers.

The add-in is Total Access Analyzer 2019 designed specifically for Access 2016.  At one time, I had 2 levels of Analyzer in the add-in which is a strict no-no according to FMS.  I am working with FMS (the producer of all the Total Access programs).  I removed all TA programs and reinstalled them also.

The method described in my original note is the way MS tells us to remove add-ins from the add-in section of Access, hence me concern that I get the error when 'looking' at any add-in.

    Hello Richard,

I am an independent advisor willing to help you!

Wich add-in are you trying to enable?

Please check if your operating system need any update, if yes install it and restart the computer, then try to activate the add in, if the issue persist, I suggest to you performance an office repair, before you have to check and install the operative systems and office updates.

    Repair steps:

Go to the control panel > open programs and features > click office > click change > and try the quick repair. This will take a few minutes.

If this doesn’t work try the online repair.

Go to the control panel > open programs and features > click office > click change > and try the online repair. This can take around 10 minutes or more.

We can try to download the add-in for your office version separate!

Let me know if this worked for you.

    Regards.
