Notes disappeared from PowerPoint presentation

I worked on a presentation over the weekend, and my computer shut down a bit abruptly yesterday evening. However, I am confident that I had saved the presentation fairly regularly throughout the day. When I opened the autorecover version of the file, it looked fine at first because the actual slides were in the order and condition that I had left them in the evening, but the speaker notes are from at least a day earlier. How is this possible?

Is there any way to recover these notes? It appears as though the notes are saved separately from the slides.

I'm absolutely baffled by this, and have a ton of work ahead of me in reconstructing this lost data. Is there anything you can do to help? I see from previous threads that I am not the first person to have this issue.

Sorry, this doesn't help. There is nothing in the unsaved files folder.  I didn't figure there was anything that could be done, but I had to ask.

    Hi. CathiSchramm

My name is Akiva and I am an Independent Advisor.

I would like to help you.

I suggest you try Recover an earlier version of an Office file

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/recove...

I also recommend saving backup copies of your files in a flash memory or USB so you do not have this type of problems in the future

    I hope I have helped
