Hello guys,
I am having some issues creating a TOC for each Section on a document. I am using MS Word 2016.
I create a general TOC where is shown all the headings level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 are for Sections.
When I use the "Navigation Pane" and select "show heading level 1", what is shown is only the level 1, but if there is some level 2 or 3 inside each section (level 1), a white arrow should be displayed on the left side of the section. there is no problem with section 1, but the arrow is not displayed for the rest of the sections, and when I try to create a TOC only shows the level 1 for the section selected.
I am using the same heading for each section's level 2 and 3.
Please, someone can help me with this?
Thank you very much.
Gabriel.

Hi Doug,
Thanks for your answer.
This is not the case here. I assigned level 1 to heading 1, level 2 to heading 2, and level 3 to heading 3.
Please, see my replay to Albanis comment. I think I explain my situation better.
Thanks!

Hi Albanis,
Thank you very much for your comment. In fact, that was what I did in my document and worked perfectly with section 1. When I repeated the steps for section 2 the only thing shown on the table was the title of section 2 (same for others sections).
I got something like this:
Section 1 (heading 1)
Titles (heading 2)
Subtitles (heading 3)
Section 2 (heading 1)
Titles (heading 2)
Subtitles (heading 3)
Section 3 (heading 1)
Titles (heading 2)
Subtitles (heading 3)
If you use the navigation pane this is displayed:
► Section 1
Section 2
Section 3
when you press the ► the heading 2 and 3 are shown, but only for Section 1. (before and after doing the process of bookmarking...)
If you can help me I really appreciate it.
Thanks again for your comment.
If you are saying that you have assigned the same Heading # style to both the Level 2 and Level 3 numbering, that maybe the cause of the problem.
You should assign the Level 1 numbering to the Heading 1 style, the Level 2 numbering to the Heading 2 style and the Level 3 numbering to the Heading 3 style.
