Viewing vertical parallel docs in Word

When I use View Side-by-Side in Word, I cannot turn off Synchronous Scrolling.  I'd like to have two independent views of the same file to move text around.

Ok, I think I see how it works now.  I had to expand one window to get at the Synchronous tab, then it would respond.

I want to turn off Synchronous Scrolling.  It seems to be automatically on with side-by-side viewing.  I don't want it on.
